Day 1: Tuesday,
NEW YORK – NEWPORT (RI) – HYANNIS
Our tour starts with our departure northeast through New York State to Connecticut where we visit the world famous Yale University located in New Haven where among the Alumni we can find former US Presidents, Senators, famous lawyers and more...
After our visit we continue to Rhode Island the first real settlement in North America home to the richest and most famous builders of America.
Our visit starts with a tour of the harbor birthplace of the “Americas Cup” world renown yacht race and one of the most spectacular ocean front drives, then on to the amazing mansions where the ultra-wealthy built their summer homes each one larger and more spectacular than the other. We stop for a visit at The Breakers, one of the most famous mansions in the row, built by the Vanderbilt family during the “Gilded Age”.
From the opulence of Newport we continue to Cape Cod and to one of the modern day family dynasties habitat, the Kennedys.
Located in the middle of Cape Cod in Hyannis we find the Kennedy compound and the Kennedy Museum. We stop at the Kennedy Memorial and museum for a glimpse into the lifestyle of this amazing family that has been at the forefront of world politics for over 100 years. After the visit we continue to the Hyannis port for a short visit the Cape Cod maritime museum a testament to the rich history of this area. In the evening enjoy some free time to explore this picturesque area. Overnight Hyannis area. – Clarion Inn and Suites South Yarmouth
Day2: Wednesday
HYANNIS – BOSTON – NEW YORK
Depart Hyannis north to Plymouth upon arrival visit the Mayflower II and the famous Plymouth rock, then continue on to Boston. Our first stop is the city of Cambridge where will find one of the most famous and most prestigious universities in the world Harvard. Our tour starts with a walk in Harvard Yard the oldest academic ground in America. We see Widener library and then rub the shoe of John Harvard for good luck. We continue to a panoramic tour passing by City Hall, MIT and Cambridge College, we cross the Charles River and arrive in the center of the intellectual capital of the country. Visit Copley square with beautiful Trinity church. Next up is a walk along the freedom trail through Boston Common Park. We break for lunch at Quincy Market. Try the world famous Clam Chowder or a lobster roll. After lunch we visit the site of the famous Tea Party and the navy ship Constitution.
In the late afternoon we will depart southwest for an evening arrival in New York.
